I'm performing at the Sunderland Empire theatre and I decided to go to my home city....it's the first time in my life that I have no home there - it's very strange and I'm thinking of my mother a lot.

Life has a lot of tears and it would be wonderful if she was around - not simply in spirit, but in her own physical way. But then - we all have to go through these things and I think I've put myself in the situation of visiting my home city as an outsider because I need to - tomorrow I'm going to walk along the river banks and remember.
The thing about grief is that it is the proof that you have and still can Love.

henryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1095372539901904614.post-55272447837371512562008-06-28T19:56:00.000-04:002008-06-28T19:56:00.000-04:00Oh honey. {{hug}} The grief process...yeah. Whatev...Oh honey. {{hug}} The grief process...yeah. Whatever right? I am with you. Went through that with the loss of my Mimi. As painful as it is, it is.

I am glad you have other loved ones close to you at a time like this. It may not feel like a lot...but I think it means a lot. I am so happy my Mom and Dad and Aunt and Mimi's friends were there for me during it.

As far as the ABCNews link...I will look at it but wanted to say this:

I learned about my spirituality from my inside process. I try to explain to my friend who is religious the difference. Religion is an exoteric thing while Jesus, himself, preached about esoteric concepts. [The Kingdom of God is *within* for example.]

The wholly irony of the difference is that people [religions, churches]today [under the guise of EXOTERIC religious principles] invoke the name of the ESOTERIC man.

WTF? ;)

Another little quip I like is that "Religion is people who are scared of going to hell and spirituality is for people who have already been there."

To that I say, "Amen."

To YOU I say Namaste.

Love,
SamsaraSamsarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08926600460742087425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1095372539901904614.post-53156606541534309902008-06-27T09:34:00.000-04:002008-06-27T09:34:00.000-04:00I agree with your statement that finding a path to...I agree with your statement that finding a path to God can rightfully be called "Spirituality".

But from the perspective of the Judeo-Christian writings of the Bible, this practice is contrary to both the Old, and New Testaments used as its Canon.

For those who claim to be of the Judeo-Christian mindset, wouldn't it be advisable to practice what one declares as their "faith"?

If someone is trying to relate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the need to be a Christian, shouldn't the non-believer being spoken to about this issue, take into consideration the actions of the person proselytizing, as well as their words?

No matter which belief system is trying to disseminate their information to the public, I would give it more worthiness of comparative dialogue if those folks walked and talked the mantra.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
