Benefits of Love, Hope and Prayer

Hello, Happy Friday! I knew I’ve been busy , but I didn’t realize just how busy I have been until I came to do a post on here. I haven’t posted in 6 days, I usually don’t go that long between posts, But it’s been a good kind of busy and I’m sure I’m not as missed as I’d like to think I am!. We celebrated Briana’s 5th Birthday; I can’t believe it’s already been 5 yrs since she came into our lives. Time sure does fly, especially as you get older, it seems to go quicker and quicker! Even though I’m her Mimi and I’m probably prejudiced, I got to say she is just pure joy. She is a happy girl with a great sense of humor and when she laughs it is infectious. I have nothing but fun with her, so I know I’m in for a good time this weekend because she is coming for a sleepover with her little brother. We also had a benefit last night for my brother in law who has been diagnosed with terminal Cancer. It was a wonderful night for all of us, but especially for him, as he got to see a lot of his family and friends that he doesn’t usually get a chance to see. The biggest “benefit” of the night was that he realized just how many people love him and are pulling for him to beat this disease. He is actually doing better than the Doctors first thought he would. He has begun his Chemo Therapy treatment and his body is responding well to the treatment. His skin has cleared up from the Jaundice color that usually happens with liver and pancreatic cancer, and he has actually gained 5 pounds. I’ve been praying for a miracle, and who knows, maybe one is in the works. I can’t help but keep hope alive, even though I know what he has working against him. If any of you out there are interested in a real life, beating all the odds against you story, I recommend reading the Billy Best story. Just google his name and you'll find his story. I’m going to have to check into what worked for him and see if it is an option for my brother in law. So as I finish this post today, I’m going to ask any of you who do pray, to keep my brother in “laws” in your prayers. Yes brother in “laws”, cause as I am writing this, my other brother in law is undergoing Open Heart surgery. Thank you if you do include them in your prayers, and I hope all of you have a great weekend!
Thanks for visiting,
Janet :)
