Hello, With all the sad news we have been hearing the past few days, I'm glad to report some good news! Yesterday I was offered a permanent position with the State Of Massachusetts! I can't believe I actually got it, they are hard jobs to get. The best part of getting this job is that it is Union, so it's gives me a little extra job security. I will now have full benefits and a retirement income too. The pay will allow me to finally pay off those student loans that have been hanging over my head and still be able to help support my family. So yes indeed, I am doing a Happy Dance today, think of a reason to do a Happy Dance yourself and join me lol!
Have a great day,
Janet :)
Urban Dictionary: Happy Dance
A dance in which one shakes their arms, frantically open and closes their mouth while moving the upper half of their body left and right repetitively. Moving your eyes as high as you can may be included. This is all done as fast as one can. The result is a happy dancer.

Square One
Hello, Happy Friday! Well this week was a pretty bad week, things did not work out for me at my new job, so I'm back to square one, looking again. It's probably a blessing in disguise, as it was a really hard and stressful job. I've been going through the feelings of devastation to oh well maybe something better will come along, it was just not meant to be. Apparently I did not live up to their expectations during the training. I was in a "Training Class" where I thought I would be taught "everything" I needed to know about the place, so I was relaxed in a sense, thinking if I made a mistake or had trouble learning something, it would be addressed and corrected before they would let me go. I thought there would be much more support than there was, especially where I was referred to them through Mass Rehab, but I was sadly mistaken. I would not recommend to any of my friends around here to work at Blue Cross and Blue Shield , especially if you are rehabilitating yourself like I have been doing the past two years. It was the worst working experience of my life. I have never left any job feeling so bad about myself. The worst part is here in Massachusetts you are an "employee at will" which means you can be let go at anytime for any reason, no liability on the employers part. They can skip right over a warning and let you go, nice huh! So once again I need a little inspiration. I found this on Facebook and it could not be more perfect for me right now. I hope it reminds you out there too that no matter what, hold your head up, and never ever allow anyone take away your dignity.

I'm So Excited
Hello, Remember that post a few days ago about that Second Chance I've been waiting for, well I'm so excited to tell you, it came through. I got the job I have really wanted for quite a while. I will be working for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts. It is a great organization to work for. Lots of room to grow professionally. I'm over the Moon, I'm almost in shock, I guess I could say I'm a lot of things! Feeling so many emotions. Feeling grateful that I had the determination to keep pursuing my goal. I was able to stay determined thanks to the love and support of my family, and with the help from a lot of you, my fellow bloggers and friends. Thank you so much for all your support on the days I really needed it. It meant more to me than you'll ever know. But most of all, I know for sure, I'm feeling so grateful that I'll be able to help take care of my family! So join me today in celebrating this news, by clicking the play button, turning up the volume and dancing a little bit! I mean you can't help but want to when you listen to the Pointer Sisters sing this song, right? right!

Janet :)
