Edward Morrow Kennedy

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well, I am doing good. Today I was a part of history here in Massachusetts and throughout the world. I was able to go to my exit 9 here in Kingston Ma, and wave goodbye to Edward Morrow Kennedy. I was truly touched to be able to say Thank You Teddy as he and his family passed by. He did so much for all of us here in the bay state and around the world. One story I heard which is many of thousands that we do not know about is how he reached out to each and every one that lost a wife or husband on that fateful day 9/11. He invited them one by one to his house in Hyannis and took them out on his boat for fun and laughter. At the end of each and everyone of his visits with them, he asked them what do you need and I will advocate to get you what you need in Congress. He was true to his word and he did get them what they needed and asked for no recognition. My daughter could not understand why we were all out there on the streets and bridges. I guess our younger generation does not understand until he has been gone for a while, how much one person can do to change and help their world. Rest in Peace Teddy, I just heard there was a rainbow over the Kennedy Library tonight, How appropriate!!
God bless.
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Take Care,
Janet :)

  1. What a beautiful tribute to Edward Kennedy. I am glad you got to wave goodbye, I wish I could have done the same.

And you are right, the younger generation doesn't know what this family went through, or how much this man really did for Massachusetts.

I didn't know about the 9/11 thing, thank you for sharing that, it is so wonderful to know that about him.

And if there was a rainbow....it makes sense.
    We will miss him!!

    Take care,
    Kat

  2. It was a sad, sad day when He died. He was an amazing man who did much for those who don't have any other advocates. It must have felt good to be able to wave goodbye.

I didn't know about the 9/11 thing. It gave me goosebumps just reading it. What an incredible, compassionate man.

    Thank your for sharing.

We will miss Senator Kennedy dearly.

    Blessings,

  6. I have to agree with Kat and Kimmie. I am inspired every time I visit here.

It is true that for so many of the younger generation it is hard for them to understand how our generation touched so deeply by all 3 brothers.

It is sad that Camelot has finally come to an end. But, perhaps the rainbow is a sign that somewhere, somehow, Camelot will live again!!

You are very fortunate to have been able to be there.

I apologize for being away the last few days but I have been dealing with some technical problems at my blog and with my internet connection.

I always miss a visit here. Your writings are simply marvelous and your work incredible.

I hope you have a great week!!
    Hugs,
    Jackie
