Friends Are Like Waves

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well, I am doing good. I just wanted to write tonight about yesterday. Yesterday Christa and Briana came over and thanks to Christa having a my space page caught up with our old friends Karen and Ashley. Karen is the mother, and Ashley is her daughter. Ashley now has two sons, Adam and Chase. Karen lived around the corner from me and our daughters Christa and Ashley were friends and our son's Scott and Jackson were also. We spent just about every day together for at least 10 years. Then Karen and her family moved to Duxbury, even though it is only a town over, we somehow lost touch. Maybe because I had to go to work full time when the kids went to school, and Karen does not drive. We just never got together. Anyway yesterday we got back together and it was so nice, they say friends are like waves, they always return. Now Karen and I were the Grandparents watching our daughters be mothers to their children. The grandkids were doing all the things our kids use to do, but we did not have to deal with that, they had to deal with the no sharing of the toy, or if they did no get the same amount of food and so on. I have to admit is was a lot of fun being the grandma, now I know what everyone means by you'll love being a grandmother. You don't have to discipline, or watch what they eat, you just get to play. Briana even figured out yesterday that if she wants a snack at my house, not to bring it to mom, mom kept saying no. When she brought the snack to me I always gave it to her. I can't deny her anything and she is so little in size I am not worried about what she eats, along as she eats. After having so much time lately to spend with Briana she has really come to love me. She reaches out to me to hold her and to give me love. She has breathed new life into my broken heart. I got that saying from Madonna's song Little Star. It is such a beautiful song she wrote for her daughter that I will put it in my playlist. In the song it also say's may Angels protect you and saddness forget you. That is the sweetest lines I have ever heard in a song. New life gives us all new life, Briana has been the best medicine for my grieving. Anyway I feel God gives you what you need, I needed my old friend and turns out she needs me as well. We are looking foward to many days ahead like yesterday.

Thanks for visiting my blog,
Take Care,
Janet :)

This moved me to tears, I found myself seeing this little person reaching out to you both to love and be loved. Life doesn't get any better than that. You are both blessed and share a special bond. Beautiful!
