In Loving Memory

Hello, Last night I learned that an old friend of Pete and mine had passed away on Monday. He was only 52, just shy of his 53rd birthday. I feel so heart broken for him and his family that his life ended too soon. He was a good guy, always had a way to make the people around him feel loved, like when he would give me a hug and call me Jenny. He was easy going with people, kinda like that live and let live mentality. I really liked that about him. I played this song for him on his 50th Birthday, we were celebrating his day, yes that BIG "50", now that number don't seem so big to me. So tonight, I'm going to play this song again, and I'll remember all the good times we had together. That's what he would want. I'll also remember, that yes indeed, the moments we share with others in this life, no matter how long or short, are forever sweet for certain!
Thanks for visiting,
Janet :)

Say, my love, I came to you
with best intentions
You laid down and gave to me
just what I'm seeking
Love, you drive me to distraction
Hey my love do you believe that we
might last a thousand years
Or more if not for this,
Our flesh and blood
It ties you and me right up
Tie me down

Celebrate we will
Because life is short
but sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
These things we cannot change

Hey, my love, you came to me
like wine comes to this mouth
Grown tired of water all the time
You quench my heart and you quench
my mind

Celebrate we will
Because life is short but
Sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
The things we cannot
Celebrate, you and me,
climbing two by two, to be sure
These days continue, things we
cannot change

Oh, my love I came to you
With best intentions
You laid down and gave to me
Just what I'm seeking

Celebrate we will
Because life is short
But sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
Things we cannot change...
Things we cannot change
