Hunkering Down

Hello, Happy Saturday! This weekend we will be doing a little preparing for either Hurricane or Tropical Storm Sandy, as we do live close to the Plymouth Ma shores. My daughter and her family live in the Buzzards Bay area, which is even closer to the coast of Cape Cod, but she assures me they'll be safe, still, it's hard not to worry about them! Luckily we do own a generator, so if we do lose power we can still watch some TV and keep our refrigerator running. The only bright side of a storm like this, is that I get to hunker down with my honey! I do feel safe with Pete, while I watch nature unleash it's fury! To make the best of a bad situation, we watch movies, eat snacks and burn a fire in the fireplace. So as long as now one gets hurt, sometimes storms like these can serve a good purpose, cause it slows down life for a little bit, and brings people back together in this non stop world we live in. I hope you get a little time to slow down this weekend and reconnect with your loved ones as well!
Thanks for visiting,
Janet :)

Wild Things!

Hello, I hope your doing good today. This new temp job is going good, much easier than the last one. So I'm feeling good about things right now. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support. Remember that famous childhood story "Where the Wild Things Are", well I think they have shown up here in Cape Cod Massachusetts. Lately in the news it's all we have been hearing about. Bears and Sharks, OH MY! This one Bear has had quite the adventure for himself around Cape Cod, only to be captured and brought to the woods in central Ma. Then surprise, surprise, he showed up again in Brookline Ma in someones's tree! The poor thing had to be tranquilized again and brought back to the woods. I can only sit back now and wonder where and when he will pop up again. Chatam Ma has had an increase in shark sightings to the point they have had to close the beaches at times. I think they are after the seals! That poor man in the Kayak didn't even know he was that close to a shark until someone pointed it out to him, talk about a close call!! So stay tuned for possibly more wild thing sightings here in Ma!
Thanks for visiting,
Janet :)

Show Off Edited

Hi Everyone, Happy Friday, I feel like showing off my family today. We had a blast at the Barnstable Fair here on Cape Cod Ma last night. Bri had no fear of any rides as you will see in the video, I don't think she was actually really big enough to go on it, but the guy let her, there is no saying no to such a cutie pie:) You can meet Christopher on my sidebar if you wish too. Ya, I like to show off, that's what Mimmi's do best. It was crowded because it was Monster Truck night, but they are nothing like they use to be twenty years ago or more! 3 Truck jumps and then intermission, what?? No pulls either, boring. This video of Lindsay is older as you will be able to tell and I am not judging Lindsay, God knows I have no room too, but I can't help but just poke a little fun at her because she got more breaks than most and still is getting off easy. Plus I can't help but post a funny video on Friday's now can I??
Have a great day,
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Love ya,
Janet :)

P.S. Bri was braver than me and went on the big Ferris Wheel too,
I have a huge fear of heights, she was having so much fun she
wound up having her parents stay till close!!

Just found this one on my droid, Sorry to show off too much,
but it was my first full one of him :)

For Poor Lindsay LOL!!
