Hello, I hope everyone had a great Christmas day. I enjoyed the day with my family and especially the grand kids because they were so excited with what Santa had brought them! Last night I watched the Kennedy Center Honors and was brought back to my teenage years as they paid tribute to Led Zepplin. I can't remember how many slow dances I danced to Stairway to Heaven at the school dances, or how many times my girlfriends and I sat around listening to their albums, but I do remember how much their music moved me through those years. Here are the highlights of the tributes to them for any of you who are fans and missed the show. I think the video of Stairway To Heaven will leave you with goosebumps too.
Thanks for visiting,
Janet :)
In a performance that had Robert Plant on the verge of tears, Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart sang ‘Stairway to Heaven’ as the finale of a star-studded musical tribute to Led Zeppelin during the Kennedy Center Honors. The Wilson sisters were joined by the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham’s son Jason on drums, making the tribute all the more endearing.
History of The Legendary Led Zepplin
Very interesting. I have never known the history of any group. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day Janet. :)
