Salt of the Earth

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well, I am doing good. Today my sister Karen came over to give
me a birthday present. She bought some nice aveda hair products and gingerbread scented hand soap for the holiday season. I thought they were the nicest gifts. Then she handed me another bag of presents, the bag had clothing I bought my mother while she was in the nursing home. I bought her two beautiful velvet shirts, a couple of nice sweaters, and her favorite thing to wear, a hat. I melted. That was the best birthday present I have ever gotten. When my mom was in the nursing home I use to buy everyones birthday presents and Christmas gifts for her to give out. Today when my sister gave those to me she said to me, this is mom's way of thanking you and I want to return the gesture. That is why I think my sister is the salt of the earth. I hope you all have someone like that in your life. How thoughtful of a person, and to no end she will go for you to be happy. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Take Care,
Talk to you soon,
Janet :)

  1. Yes ~ you have a wonderful thoughtful sister and it sounds like, you too, are a wonderful thoughtful sister and daughter! I do have a sister just like that! She is 4 1/2 yrs. older than me and is a very special person! I went through a diagnosis of a very rare (subglotal throat/voicebox) cancer 3 yrs. ago and she sent me me packages a couple of times a week for months!! Lots of cards too and lots of helpful info she found online ~ so that I didn't have to burden myself doing that! Sisters are very special people! Wish everyone could have on like we are lucky enough to have - eh??!!
