Angels 101

Photobucket

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well, I am doing good. Recently two dear friends I met through my blog who are bloggers as well have loved ones who are ill. One friends family member is very sick and they are having trouble figuring what is going on. The other friend's family member is in hospice care. I remembered a book I turned too everyday when my mother was very ill and then put into hospice care. The title of the book is called Angels 101 by Dorothy Virtue PH.D, An introduction to working, and healing with the Angels. I would look through the book and pray to the different Angels for different needs as they arouse on a daily basis. It did bring us comfort I feel and somehow guidance would come to me in small ways. What to say, how to comfort, how to stay strong when all I wanted to do is yell at God or the supreme being for having her suffer after all she had been through in her life already. When my mother passed somehow I put down the book, and stopped praying to them and reading it, not sure why? I had an Angel reading once with a friend, it was a beautiful experience, I could truly feel light and energy all around my body. It was a lot of white light around me as well. As soon as I heard of my friends situation I turned to the book again. I prayed to Raphael who's name means "one who heals" for their loved ones. I thought this would be good to share with all of you who believe in the Angels as well. It is a good time of year to bring spirituality back into your life if it has slipped away in the daily grind of life. I will begin by describing the higher Archy of Angels and then sharing them and what their specialties are. I am going to begin to read it again and use it as a tool in my daily life. Looking forward to sharing the real life experience of other people in this book with you as well. Thanks for visiting my blog,
Take Care,
Janet :)

Archangels are managers over seeing our guardian angels. They are one type of the nine choirs of angels (which include angels, archangels, principalities, powers, virtues, dominions, thrones, cherubim and seraphim). Of these forms of angels, guardian angels and archangels are the most involved with helping Earth and her inhabitants.

Compared to guardian angels, archangels are very large, loud, and powerful, yet they're also extremely loving and egoless. As nonphysical celestial beings, they don't have genders. However, their specific fortes and characteristics give them distinctive male and female energies and personas.
The Bible names Archangels Michael and Gabriel. Some versions of the Bible also list Archangels Raphael and Uriel. Ancient Jewish texts expand this list to 15 Archangels.

You'll notice in the list that follows that all but two of the archangels' names end in the suffix "el" which is Hebrew for "of God" or "from God." Two exceptions were Biblical prophets who lived such exemplary lives that they ascended to archangeldom following their human lives.

The archangels are sometimes called by different names, but her are the most common ones, along with their specialities, characteristics, and brief histories.

Raphael. His names means "One who Heals" He heals ailments and guides healers and would be healers and helps the suffering. He's one of the presently sainted archangels (the others being Michael and Gabriel, although at one time seven archangels were canonized). In the book of Tobit(a canonical Bible work) Raphael describes himself as a servant before the Glory of the Lord. He is believed to be on the three archangels who visited the patriarch Abraham. Because he assisted Tobias on his journey, Raphael is considered a patron saint of travelers. His main role, though, is in healing and assisting healers.

A Tribute

Hi Everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am doing good. At my last job I met a dear friend Donna, that now looking back was with me in a time in my life that I needed her more than she will ever know. There are few people who I consider the salt of the Earth, Angels among us. She is and not to make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed Donna I know this from all the similar experiences we shared losing our Parents. Both our Father's passed without warning, no chance to say goodbye. Our mother's suffered, yours much to young. You unknowingly showed me how to survive my mom's goodbye. I always felt sad I never met your mom, but doing this post today I realized I do know her, because her spirit lives on in you. Children are there greatest tribute how proud she must of been of you. I got behind this year on posting a poem for her Birthday on November 8th, but without checking my past blogs I knew instinctly it was that time. Although our lives keep us indifferent directions now, You are always in my thoughts and I still sense things like I did when we were together a lot. We had so many great laughs together and someday I look forward to having them again. This song was mine and my mother's as I played it softly and whispered it in her ear many a day in the end, I know you will appreciate it more than others.
Take Care,
Janet :)

So in tribute to your beautiful mom I hope you like this poem and this song.

When I came into this world, your
arms did secure.
When I cried
to thrive. Your touch
brought my spirit to life

When I found my feet,
Your hand gave me trust,
And I learned to step to my
own beat as let go you must

When life's lessons I could
not understand, only a child,
your words made them less grand.
Ok I knew I would be
and smiled

When I grew and needed to find
who I was deep inside, your example
taught me I would find the path for me
and walk in the light.

When your Journey was reaching
the end, We laid together and prayed.
God and the Angels had come your way,
I felt your peace as your spirit slowly
transcended and flew away. With a gentle
kiss, I let go as I must.

Im-ninalo x8

Staring up into the heavens
In this hell that binds your hands
Will you sacrifice your comfort?
Make your way in a foreign land?

Wrestle with your darkness
Angels call your name
Can you hear what they are saying?
Will you ever be the same?

Remember remember and never forget
All of your life has all been a test
You will find the gate that's open
Even though your spirit's broken

Open up my heart
And close my lips to speak
Bring the heaven and the stars
Down to earth for me

Believe More Than Ever Before

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I am doing great. It was a great week in Paradise, if you have never been to Aruba and some day you plan a trip I would highly recommend it, but ask me about where we stayed. Some are better than others. When we arrived they gave us a free two bedroom upgrade that had an ocean view which was a minute walk away from us. They have specials every night at their two bars one at the hotel and one on the beach. Two for one etc, barbecue night, great food every time we tried it in their restraints. Everyday the staff at the resort come in and make your bed and clean your room. It was the better than I expected. Today we went to Brianna's 2nd birthday, it was alot of fun. Christa got a bounce house and her and her cousins had alot of laughs. This time of year is always bittersweet. Brianna was born, yet 4 days later her grandmother Wendy died. For those of you who follow me, I don't mean to repeat this part of the story, but something happened today that I have to share and I want to fill in my new readers. When Wendy was in her last days, I went to a store that sells Angel stones. One for guardian etc. For some reason I felt compelled to buy one and when I sat with Wendy in her last day's I placed it in her hand. I whispered in her ear that I would give this Angel stone to Brianna when she is old enough to understand. There it stayed until she passed away. Christa is holding on to it and sometimes I check because I forget easily, you still have it right Christa, Ya mom LOL! Wendy also loved Angels, they were everywhere in her house. So today me and Briana wound up walking over to Christa's little garden that is filled with Wendy's Angel's that were in her garden. Then as we walked away Christa said something she has never said to me before. She told me every time Briana looks at an Angel she says Mimme which is her name for me. It hit me like a bolt of lightning and for a minute I went into shock, then before I could remind Christa she got busy doing other things. I felt Wendy let me know today she knew what I did and yes she is her Angel. It brings a tear to my eye and a smile to face because I truly believe she is watching over Brianna when I am not there and she is still with us at every gathering, Thank you Wendy I believed before, but now more than ever. One other sad note, Wendy's mother had to be taken off life support Friday. She had heart troubles and things went down from there. Her name was Lois and she was a great lady. I know she is with Wendy and her other daughter Judy who passed away a year before Wendy. Rest in peace Lois. I am glad I got to know you in my lifetime.
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Take Care,
Janet :)

Waves Of Grief

Photobucket

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well, I am doing good. At this time in my life everything is going so good, I am so happy to be going away to Aruba with my hubby. Pete and I have reconnected in such a loving way now that the kids have grown up. We sit together every night and tell each other how much we love each other and we also have alot of laughs together. I look forward to going back to College and getting my Master's Degree. I also love being a grandmother. Briana is such a ray of sunshine because Christa and Dana are doing such a good job as parents. Yet I find myself lately crying for my Mom and Dad . I thought I cried myself out already for my Dad who passed away when I was 23 years old. My mother I lost only last year. I think now that I just want them here to enjoy their grandchildren. They would have been young enough to do that. I have just realize that grief just comes in waves and then flows away. I was driving the other day and listening to one of my favorite songs my Dave Matthews, Two Step and in the song he say's Oh my love do you think we could last forever if not for our flesh and bones. It just hit me that day how much I miss holding my Mother's hand, and everything else about her that I was consumed with tears. I am sure that you have all been there if you have lost your Parents. I wrote this poem for all of us.
Thanks for visiting my blog today,
Take care,
Janet :)

Grief in Waves

Today my heart aches,
I miss you mom and dad.
You should still be here,
It is not fair

Time does not take away,
the pain when your spirit went
on it's way. I know the Angels
were with you. I wish I could have
been too.

Not knowing what your experienced
at that time, haunts my mind. I hope
your passing was peaceful, as in
your life that was not fulfilled.

As I go forward in life, I still
miss you by my side.
Some day's are harder
than others. Being without
the love of my Father and Mother.

I carry on with the belief, that
you are watching over me.
I hope you hear my laughter
and my cries when I miss
your loving hearts, knowing
some day we will again never
be apart.

Another Loss

Hi Everyone, I hope you are doing well. Today I am not doing so good. My dear daughter had a miscarriage with my second grandchild. I really feel this loss, as I was looking forward to my family growing and my heart breaks sooo much for my daughter and what she went through. I wrote a poem to help me deal with this, Thanks for visiting my blog today,
Take Care,
Janet

On June 26th, I received a some news,
that made my heart grow more then I knew.
My daughter and son in law are happy to
announce, they will be having my second
grandchild in March 2010 they pronounced.

In the week or two that have gone by, many a image
have crossed my mind, Your mother and
father smiling as you entered the world. Your
sweet sister having you in her arms to hold.

Today my baby girl who is so grown and I
am so proud of, called me with words I
could not hear through the fog. She told
me you were no longer to be. I said what
do you mean?? Although I knew, I could
not handle that I was not there with you and her.
She was so brave, she woke and knew
what she had to do, she did not call me to
help, only to tell me after what she went through.

So my dear grandchild I never met, I know
you are an Angel above to help. May you
rest in the arms of your great grandmothers,
who loved you although in life you never met.
Someday we will meet, and I will feel that love
that grew in my heart so sweet.

Learn to Detach

Hi Everyone,
How to Detach,
I never thought of this until today when Bing brought it to my attention,
I need to learn how to detach from the loved ones I have lost, and keep
the joy of life within me, and carry on. Thanks Bing, I wrote this poem
to help with the the process.

I have to say goodbye, as I cry
How do you know I still care,
when you are not near.
I was by your side, and
held your hand as you cried,
You did not want to leave,
Although I said it is ok,
You thought of me
and wanted to stay.
I Loved you in life and
Love you more now,
Knowing you are an
Angel beside me with
no doubt.
Janet :)

My Little Christmas Angel

Hi Everyone,
Briana now being 14 months old really enjoyed Christmas this year. As soon as she saw the presents under the tree she smiled ear to ear. Being the proud Grandma I had to share them with everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I had a great Christmas, the prime rib I cooked came out perfect, that never happens to me. It truly was a Christmas miracle. Thanks for all the comments on my last post. You helped me get through this first one and helped keep my spirit up. I kept focus on the thought that love transcends death. It made me feel true happiness for the day, thanks pinklady for sharing that with me. I will be posting soon the informal practice of loving kindness. Angelsezine is temporarily down but I am sure it will be back up soon. I hope you will read my articles and all the wonderful articles on the site.
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Take Care,
Janet :)
